Salmon Poke Bowl
120 grams of sushi rice
1 fillet of Salmon ( Or a fish of your choice)
1 grated carrots
1 avocado sliced
1/3 cucumber diced
1 red onion (Pickled)
2tbsp of white wine vinegar
1tbsp of sugar
1tsp of salt
To begin with we cooked the rice following the information on the packet. Which was 10 minutes simmering and 15 minutes steaming off the heat with the lid on.
Whilst the rice was cooking. We made a quick pickle for the red onion which was created using 2tbsp of white wine vinegar, 1 tbsp. of sugar and teaspoon of salt
We diced the cucumber and grated the carrot.
We then pan fried the salmon in butter for 8 minutes and then left to rest.
Once the rice is done place the rice at the bottom on the bottom of the bowl and then decorate with the rest of the ingredients.
Ashley had sweet chilli with his bowl and Lara had sweet chilli mayonnaise with hers.
