Gluten Free Cider Battered Onion Rings

Ingredients:
3 large white onions
200g of gluten free self raising flour
350ml of cider
1/8tsp of turmeric
A pinch of salt
1 litre of vegetable oil for frying
Method:
To begin with cut the onions into 1cm rings. Then pre- heat the oil in a large heavy based saucepan or deep fat fryer.
Whilst the oil is heating, whisk together the flour, cider, so it creates a thickish batter. Once the batter is made coat the onions in the batter.
Once the oil is hot place the battered onion rings in batches gently into the hot oil and cook for two and a half minutes until golden brown.
Once cooked drain any remaining oil with kitchen roll and season to your liking.
