
Gluten Free Orange Cauliflower
Ingredients
Half a large cauliflower
Ingredients for Batter:
115 grams of gluten free flower
30 grams of ground almond
250ml of water
1tsp of salt
Ingredients for orange sauce:
240ml of orange juice
1 orange for zest and juice
6tbsp of sugar
1tbsp of Gluten Free soy sauce
4tbsp of white wine vinegar
2tbsp of sweet chilli sauce
1tbsp of Cornflour (Mix with 2tbsp of orange juice to make a slurry)
Method:
To begin with chop the cauliflower into florets of a good size. Once you have done this put all the ingredients for the batter together and mix until the batter is thick.
Once the batter is thick place the cauliflower into the batter and shake any excess batter off and place on a greased baking tin. Once all florets are done place in the oven at a heat of 180C for 25 minutes.
Whilst the cauliflower is cooking put all the ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan and bring to boil for 5 minutes, we then let it cool until the cauliflower was cooked and then brought back up to the boil and added the cornflour mixture at the last minute, so the sauce is thick.
Once the cauliflower is out of the oven put in a mix bowl and pour over the orange sauce until coated.
