Gluten Free Bang Bang Cauliflower
This cauliflower dish is a great quick meal or perfect for a dinner party to cater for vegetarians. We love this as it combines some of our favourite flavours and foods together and is also not too bad for the waistline. This recipe serves 2 people.
Ingredients for the Bang Bang Cauliflower:
100g of gluten free breadcrumbs
70g of gluten free plain flour
1tbsp of paprika
1 large cauliflower cut into florets
1tbsp of Chinese five spice
100ml of soya milk
1tbsp of garlic granules
salt and pepper to season
Ingredients for sauce:
5tbsp of sweet chilli
1tbsp of rice vinegar
2tbsp of soy sauce
2btsp of honey
1tbsp of sesame seeds
Method:
To begin with make the batter by adding the milk, flour and five spice together and whisk until it coats the whisk.
Once the batter is made put to one side and then mix the breadcrumbs, paprika and garlic granules in a separate bowl.
Once completed place the cauliflower florets in the batter before rolling them in the breadcrumbs and then place them on greaseproof paper. Once all florets are coated put in the oven for 25 minutes at a heat of 180C.
Whilst the Cauliflower is in the oven, put all of the ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan and place on a high heat until thickened. Once the sauce is thick, take off the heat.
Once the cauliflower is cooked place in a mixing bowl and pour the sauce over it until all covered.
Once the cauliflower is covered plate up and enjoy, we had ours with a nice cold cider.
